What is the best way to get in touch with someone at Evri or MyHermes?
When things go wrong, Evri, formerly known as Hermes, does not have the best reputation. Our Hermes delivery guy is fantastic, but when it comes to sending eBay or Vinted parcels, WOW! Obtaining a Myhermes contact can be nearly impossible, so I put on my detective hat and dug up their contact information for you.
We were already an online-shopping nation, but the COVID-19 pandemic means that many of us are shopping online more than ever.
If you shop online, you've probably come across Myhermes/Hermes/Evri because many well-known retailers use them as a delivery partner.
When things go right, they're fine, but every now and then (pun intended), things go horribly wrong.
Our local Evri delivery person is currently unavailable, and parcels for THREE villages are being held at the depot while they scramble to find a driver to deliver parcels. My parcels are only 5 days late so far, but who knows when this will be resolved?
Hermes is renamed Evri.
Hermes changed their name to Evri in March 2022.

My most recent contact with Evri
I've been purging and selling some Hot Wheels Monster Trucks on eBay.
They were ones I bought for a friend's son, but they turned out to be duplicates of ones he already owned.
After purchasing them from a variety of stores and even Facebook Marketplace, it was easier to list them as a group on eBay to recoup some of the money than to try to return them.
No problem - I listed them as a small buy it now bundle, sent an offer to the watchers, and they sold, yay!
I mostly use Evri to send my parcels because, despite their bad reputation, it is extremely convenient for me and less expensive than Royal Mail.
Furthermore, I live in a village where the local Post Office closes for an hour every day for lunch, whereas the parcelshop where I drop off Evri parcels is open until 9 p.m. and I pass it most days on my way to the gym, town, a supermarket, and so on.
Anyway, long story short, the parcel was never delivered to the buyer, and the tracking showed an error with the tracking number and postcode not matching.
I was obviously concerned about contacting Evri because I'd heard the horror stories. I dreaded the task and put it off for a few days, but then I realized it was time.
Bracing myself, I picked up the phone and dialed the phone number listed in this blog post, and got in touch to explain the situation.
Just a few hours later, I received an email with the lost mail claim form to complete.
The claim is still being processed - Evri will refund me the amount I refunded the buyer as well as the postage I paid, but I am still missing several Hot Wheels Monster Trucks, which is a shame.
It demonstrates that by following the steps outlined below, you CAN speak with a human at Evri.

The only way I've found to actually speak to someone is for the sender to contact them, they select the option for a parcel that has been delivered, and once the automated system confirms the parcel has been delivered, you have the option to speak to a human. This is when you use the actual tracking number for the parcel in question. I know it appears counterintuitive, but it works, or did in September 2022.

Finding the Evri Hermes live chat these days can be a bit of a rabbit hole, with some broken links and pages that don't work as expected.
For example, at the time of writing, this Evri Myhermes contact link will send you on a wild goose chase.

Thank you for posting this. For those who tried this method with a Vinted parcel, when you call and go through the steps, it will ask if you want to speak with someone about your parcel.
When you say "Yes," it will then say, "I see this is a Vinted parcel, so you will have to speak to them directly," and you will not be able to communicate with them.
I just got through the Evri help center's "live chat" (which really means "robot chat") and got to the point where I could leave an email address and/or phone number. So far, this is the closest I've gotten to Evri. These are the choices I made:
1-> "It's about something else"
"Sending" 2->
3-> "Website technical issue i" e payment or account label"
4-> "I'm having trouble with a label or an order."
5-> "Problem with a print in store label"
6-> “No It's something different."
"I did not receive an order confirmation email," says 7->
At this point, I can provide my email address, a description of the problem, and my phone number.
I'm hoping to hear from someone soon. I know it's a long way round and probably not worth it for most people, but these companies really take the piss.

Martijn de Lange has been the CEO of Hermes for more than 8 years.
While I don't believe Martijn is sitting there waiting for me to complain about my missing parcel, others have reported finding it extremely effective to email him every single day with their issue in order to get a quicker resolution.

I sold a suit on eBay and had it shipped by Hermes. The parcel had been opened, and the suit had been replaced with a filthy, scrunched-up, and frankly, quite cheap and nasty dress. Omg, they're currently driving me insane. I ordered two parcels from a retailer and both times I was at home, they texted to say it was left in a safe place, and it's some outhouse with a washing machine, which is not my house. On both occasions, I stood outside my door waiting for the delivery, but they never arrived. Every time I email to say it isn't my house, they tell me to contact the retailer for a replacement or refund because they have definitely delivered to my house. It's driving me insane, and I'm no longer going to order from them because I never receive my parcels, despite the fact that they seem content to trust the word of the Hermes delivery person over mine. I've sent a lot of parcels through Hermes over the years, and most of the time everything goes smoothly. When they do go wrong, they seem to go royally wrong.
One example is when items are dropped off at a parcelshop and the tracking never updates, resulting in the items never reaching the buyer. This is the third time this has happened to me. There were no refunds from Hermes because they did not appear to be scanned in.
I've also sent items that were severely damaged despite being well-packaged. In these cases, Hermes compensated me.
In terms of deliveries, our Hermes delivery driver is fantastic, and we have had no problems at all.
