Tracking a Parcel: A Step-by-Step Guide
Once you have completed your online purchase, you will inevitably be curious about the arrival of your items at your doorstep. So, how can you keep track of your package and what factors should you take into account during this process?
What to do after placing an orderUpon placing an order, you will receive a notification from the sender informing you that your parcel has been dispatched. It may take a few days for us to receive the parcel, so if tracking information is unavailable, it means we are still awaiting its arrival. To find out where your parcel currently is and when it will reach us, you should directly contact the sender.
Once we have received your parcel from the sender, we will deliver your item within the agreed timeframe. The delivery period is determined by the chosen service selected by the sender, which typically falls within 1-3 days.
Monitoring your parcel with EvriUsing Evri, you have the option to track a parcel by accessing a 16-digit tracking number, which corresponds to the barcode number. This tracking number is provided to you at the time of booking your order. Alternatively, if you are the recipient of the parcel, the sender should be able to provide you with this number.
If the courier has already attempted to deliver your parcel, a calling card would have been issued with an eight-digit number printed on it. You can use this number to track your parcel instead.
How to keep track of your ParcelShop deliveryIn the case of ParcelShop deliveries, when your parcel is identified as "on its way," it means that it is en route to your local ParcelShop through our depots. Subsequently, you will receive a text message or email notifying you when your parcel is ready for collection.
To collect your parcel, you will need the confirmation email or text from the sender, if available. Additionally, you will be required to provide personal identification such as a driver's license or a PIN. It is important to note that the PIN will be sent to you separately via email from the sender.
How to track your Locker deliveryIf you are expecting a delivery to one of our automated parcel Lockers, we will keep you updated on its whereabouts through email. Once the parcel has arrived and is ready for collection, you can conveniently retrieve your new items.
If your parcel does not arrive within 7 days, it is essential to notify the sender, who will then contact us so that we can investigate its journey in detail.
What to expect on the day of your scheduled deliveryThe retailer from whom you made the purchase will send you an email on the day of your delivery, providing you with the designated time slot. This email will also contain a link that allows you to track the progress of your parcel, ensuring you are aware of its location at all times.
The courier will subsequently attempt to deliver your parcel. If the delivery is unsuccessful, the courier will leave a card indicating the next delivery attempt and an eight-digit number that can be used for tracking purposes.
If you are aware that you will not be available for the next delivery attempt, there is no need to worry. You can redirect your parcel at any point during the delivery process.
How to track your parcel after it has been deliveredUpon receiving a notification stating that your parcel has arrived, we can provide you with the following information:
- A photograph and map of the delivery location of your parcel.
- The name and signature of the individual responsible for the delivery.
The retailer you made the purchase from may also send you an email once your parcel has been delivered, which will include all of the aforementioned details along with a link to the tracking information. At that point, you can easily locate your parcel and eagerly open it – it's that simple.
