We are now just hours away from seeing Anthony Joshua return to the ring to face former opponent Oleksandr Usyk in an attempt to reclaim his titles and avenge his defeat to the dangerous Ukrainian in September. The fight will take place in Saudi Arabia, and AJ will be looking to reclaim his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles, which he lost to former cruiserweight Usyk last year.
The Ring Magazine title will be added to that list, putting AJ one step closer to becoming the unified heavyweight world champion with a victory over Usyk.
Two losses in a row to the same opponent would be career-defining for Joshua, and would likely keep him out of the title picture for some time, forcing him to work his way back up the rankings with impressive wins over lower-ranked opponents.

If he wins, he will be champion once more, setting himself up for arguably the biggest fight in heavyweight history against Tyson Fury.
Meanwhile, Usyk can demonstrate that his victory over Joshua was no fluke and that he is worthy of the pound-for-pound number one spot, which he was awarded after Canelo Alvarez lost to Dmitry Bivol earlier this summer.
