How do I cast my vote online?
To vote, you must first sign in to your BBC account, which you can do here. If you do not already have a BBC account, you must create one before voting here.

You are now ready to go after creating a BBC account. You should sign in to your BBC account before the polls open.

The presenter will notify you when the polls open during the live show. You will then be able to vote online here.

Why isn't the online vote working properly?
If the vote does not appear correctly on your device, please refresh the page or use a different browser or device.

If you are using an ad-blocker, your ability to vote may be hampered. You should be able to vote if you disable the blocker and refresh the page.

Why am I getting a blank box where the vote should be?
If you have disabled third-party cookies in your browser on any device, you may be unable to vote. If you see a white box where the vote should be after signing in or registering your BBC account, you will need to enable third-party cookies in your browser on that device or use another browser where this is already enabled.

Why does the BBC believe I'm not in the United Kingdom?
To vote online, you must be a resident of the United Kingdom. If you are in the UK but the BBC website believes you are outside of the UK, it is possible that you are using a VPN (Virtual Private Network), proxy, or similar service that masks your IP address. To vote, disable your VPN and reload the page.

How many votes can I cast online?
Except for the Grand Final, you can only vote once per voting window on Strictly Come Dancing. You will be able to cast all of your votes in one submission for this series. You can still vote one vote at a time if you prefer, and you are not required to use all of your votes. You will receive the same total number of votes whether you submit them all at once or one by one.

Can I cast my vote using my smartphone or tablet?
You can vote online using your smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. Online votes cast on different devices using the same BBC account information will count toward the maximum number of votes allowed per account. Except for the Grand Final, the maximum number of votes per account for Strictly Come Dancing 2022 will be three. You can vote in the Grand Final a maximum of six times per BBC account.

Can I vote through the BBC iPlayer app?
You cannot vote on your Smart TV, tablet, or smartphone using the BBC iPlayer app. Please vote at bbc.co.uk/strictly, where you may need to sign in again or register to vote.

Why isn't the "Submit X Votes" button working?
If you're attempting to vote but the 'Submit X Votes' button has turned grey or says 'Submit 0 Votes' and you're having trouble submitting your vote, you may not have selected the correct vote option. To vote for a couple, click the plus buttons next to their names until you see a number in the box that corresponds to the number of votes you'd like to give that couple. Before submitting your votes, you can use the minus button to remove votes for a couple. The 'Submit x votes' button should now be available for you to use to cast your vote(s). You cannot change your vote once it has been submitted. You can vote one at a time or multiple times until you reach the maximum number of votes allowed for that vote window.

Why do I receive the 'Thank you for voting' message when I vote on a different device or browser?
The vote for Strictly Come Dancing 2022 has been capped (see above). If you have already voted the maximum number of times and go to the vote page on another browser or device where you are already signed in, or if you sign in to your account on the vote page after you have already voted the maximum number of times, Because you have already voted the maximum number of times, you will see the 'Thank you for voting' message.

Why has the 'VOTE AGAIN' button vanished?
The Strictly Come Dancing vote is limited, and votes can be cast in multiples or one at a time. If you have any votes left after your first vote, you will see the 'VOTE AGAIN' button, which will allow you to cast the number of votes you have left. You can repeat this process to cast multiple votes for different couples or the same couple at the same time. Once you have used the maximum number of votes allowed by the vote, the 'VOTE AGAIN' button will disappear, and you will be unable to vote again until the following week's vote opens. If you cast all of your votes in one submission, you will not see the 'VOTE AGAIN' button because you have already reached the maximum number of votes.

Why isn't the vote working in my Internet Explorer version?
Some Internet Explorer browser versions' default security settings may prevent the vote from properly displaying on the page. Please use a different browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, or a different device, and vote at bbc.co.uk/strictly when it is open.

What if I can't remember my BBC account password?
If you have a BBC account but have forgotten your password, you must reset it. You can learn how to change your password here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/usingthebbc/account/how-do-i-change-my-password/

What information do I need to provide when registering for a BBC account? This is determined by your age. We require everyone to provide us with their birth date, gender, and a secure password. We ask users aged 13 and up to provide an email address and indicate whether they want to receive emails about things they'll enjoy. If you forget your password, you can reset it using your email address. And it means we can contact you if we need to inform you of something new, such as a change to our terms of service. We ask anyone under the age of 13 to provide a username but no email, so it's critical that you remember it (along with your password) or we won't be able to contact you. We ask for your postcode if you are 18 or older, and your hometown if you are under 18. If you previously signed in with a username, you will now need to use your email address if you are over the age of 13. If you previously signed in with Facebook or Google, we regretfully no longer use these platforms to sign in.

If you haven't logged in to your account in the last year, it may have been closed unless you used an email address to sign in. If this is the case, you will need to create a new BBC account.

When I register for a BBC account, why do you ask for my age, postcode/hometown, or gender? We use your age, postcode/hometown, and gender to provide you with relevant local information online and in any email newsletters that you subscribe to. As part of our public service mandate, we also use this data to ensure that we are producing something for everyone. Some BBC content is restricted to certain ages. We also need to know your age so that we can ensure you can use the parts that are intended for you.

Learn more about how we use your data by clicking here.

What if I don't want to register right away?
If you do not proceed with registering your BBC account, you will be unable to vote online; however, you can always vote by phone. Simply watch the show for the phone numbers, or visit the Strictly website (bbc.co.uk/strictly) for the phone vote information while the vote is open.

Why am I not taken to the sign in page when I click on sign in?
If you click sign in and are already logged in to your BBC account, you will be taken to the BBC homepage or remain on the same page. That means you're ready to vote when it opens here.

I'm having another issue signing into my account that isn't addressed here; where can I get help?
We have a separate page that can answer your questions about signing in to your BBC account and also connect you with someone if you can't find the answer you're looking for. Visit here

What precisely is a BBC account?
If you have any questions about your BBC account, you can find some answers here.

Why are you asking if I'd like email updates on new things I'll enjoy?

To help you get the most out of the BBC, we may personalize them based on your location and how you use the BBC online site. Learn more about the emails by clicking here. You can also opt out at any time.

Is there a fee for voting online?
No, you will not be charged if you vote online at http://www.bbc.co.uk/ during the live shows. Please consult your broadband or mobile contract to determine the cost of data services.
