Kate expressed her pride in the show by sharing an image from the documentary depicting herself and Derek on their wedding day.
'Have been feeling very conflicted about asking you to vote for our documentary #FindingDerek's nomination for @officialntas tomorrow,' she wrote.
'I am very proud of it, but I didn't want to ask for anything more from you.' I've even considered whether I should attend such a glittering event and take time away from my family, who need me now more than ever. But a random stranger has just changed my mind.
'She was walking by our house and said, "I hope you win." I thanked her but said I didn't think we would because there were so many good candidates in the category and I hadn't been campaigning for votes like others had. She was horrified.

'So now I'm asking you to vote - not for me, but for the thousands who have lost their lives and livelihoods as a result of covid, and for the thousands more who are still devastated by it.'
'Also for the millions of others who are facing terrible diagnoses of any illness, the tortuous wait for treatment as our NHS struggles to keep up.'
'It would be fantastic if your vote made them feel less forgotten and encouraged me to continue fighting for them.' '
Kate, 53, admitted she considered skipping the ceremony until a woman stopped her in the street and told her how important the program was to her.
Fans showered Kate with love, with one writing, 'You have my vote, Kate.' You are a true inspiration. It is an absolute triumph that you are able to parent two children, work multiple jobs, and care for Derek.
'Keep up the good work; you deserve more than NTA in my opinion.' You truly are a legend. Keep going, and you will get Derek back.'
'Both my wife and I have voted for your documentary,' wrote another. "Women are like teabags," she said, "stick us in water and see how strong we become." She is correct. You're incredible. I hope Derek and his children are doing well. 'Remain strong.'
'And you must get all dressed up and go,' another fan added. It is critical to get out and have fun. And to make time for yourself So much is riding on your shoulders. It is critical that you remain healthy and prepared. '
