Is there any chance of a second season of Peacemaker?

The DC Universe expands with yet another adaptation of one of its (anti)heroes. Peacemaker, led by John Cena, has made a name for itself with one of HBO Max's biggest debuts (likely aided by that iconic dance number in the opening credits).  

All of the episodes of the show have now aired on HBO Max. Will it, however, ever make its way to the United Kingdom? Will the series return for more episodes? We have all of the information you require. You can also find out how to watch Our Flag Means Death in the UK.  

When will the Peacemaker TV show be released in the United Kingdom?  

Peacemaker is now available on HBO Max in the United States and other territories where the streaming service is available.

James Gunn has confirmed that the show will be available in the UK through Now and Sky, though there will be a delay between this and the initial US release.

Fortunately, there isn't much longer to wait. On March 22, 2022, all episodes of Peacemaker will be available on Sky and Now in the United Kingdom.

Will Peacemaker return for a second season?

Yes, John Cena confirmed on Twitter that another season is on the way, following the series' best performance to date on HBO Max.

In response, HBO general manager Max Luis Duran revealed that the next season will premiere in 2023.

What is the plot of the TV show Peacemaker?

Spoilers for the film The Suicide Squad

Peacemaker takes place after The Suicide Squad. In this film, Peacemaker collaborates with his teammates to complete their mission: to destroy all evidence of Project Starfish.  

However, when Rick Flag discovers that the US government was complicit in child experimentation for Project Starfish, he decides that the evidence should be made public.  

Peacemaker believes that this will cause chaos in the country and thus attempts to steal the drive in order to destroy it on Amanda Waller's behalf. When Rick Flag attempts to stop him, the two get into a fight, and Peacemaker kills Flag.  

Ratcatcher 2 overhears everything and steals the drive. Peacemaker eventually catches up with her and attempts to kill her as well. However, Bloodsport arrives just in time, shoots Peacemaker, and leaves him for dead beneath the ruins of Jotunheim.

However, the post-credits scene reveals that Waller's team recovered Peacemaker from the rubble in case the world needed saving again. The scene concludes with him lying in a hospital bed, setting up the HBO Max series.  

The film's events revealed Peacemaker's true colors: he is ultimately concerned with the greater good, even if it means betraying those around him. Furthermore, he is devoted to the government.

In an interview with Empire Magazine, James Gunn elaborated on this. "He's not a good guy," he said of the character. And he's dressed in the silliest costume you've ever seen. ”

"Peacemaker has a clear set of ideals that I find really interesting... You know: 'I want peace no matter how many men, women, and children I have to kill to get it,'" Gunn explained to Empire. 'It sounds ridiculous, but it also makes a lot of sense.' And you can see in John's performance that he isn't happy about it, which I thought was the seed of an eight-episode show. ”

In keeping with a series with a villain as its protagonist, the show appears to be dark and possibly even uncomfortable viewing as it explores the side of society that has been brought to light in recent years. It will also investigate his relationship with his father, as well as the negative impact it has had on him.  

"He represents a problematic segment of the world population," Gunn told Empire, "and puts him in a position where he has to face the choices he's made throughout his life and the extremity of his views." ”

However, the footage thus far has demonstrated the classic goofy humour seen in previous Gunn superhero films. Indeed, producer Matt Miller describes the show as "like The Office, but with more people getting shot in the face."

Where can I see Peacemaker?

Peacemaker is housed on HBO Max, so if you live in the United States, you'll need a subscription to the streaming service. This costs either $14 or $15. 99 per month for no advertisements and new Warner Bros. movies or for movie releases 99 for ad-supported content and a smaller film and television library  

Because it is not available outside of North America, the UK and other territories will rely on services like Sky or Now, which host many HBO shows. However, we have yet to receive confirmation from these services regarding the show's premiere date.  

Fortunately, using a VPN, you can watch Peacemaker on HBO Max in the UK.  

How to Watch Peacemaker on HBO Max in the United Kingdom

To sign up for a subscription, go to the HBO Max website, which will not open in your normal UK browser because the site is only available in the United States. However, this is easily overcome by using a VPN.

You've cleared the first hurdle by selecting a VPN. The next step will be to enter your payment information.

The HBO Max app is required for the next step. This method has been successfully tested with NordVPN and an Android phone.

After purchasing the VPN of your choice, you must install it on your iOS or Android device. The HBO Max website currently only allows you to sign up if you have a US-based payment card. If you don't have that, here's what you should do:

• Connect to a US server using your iOS or Android device's VPN.
• In your browser, create a new Apple ID/Google Play account tied to the United States (leave the country field blank).
• Register your new account in the app store on your iOS/Android device.
• You should now be able to access the US app store, where you can download and install the HBO Max app.
• If the app store prompts you to add payment information to your iOS/Google Play account before installing HBO Max, tap'skip.'
• In the HBO Max app, enter your email address and password to create a new account.
• Use PayPal as your payment method (this can be a UK account).
• You can sign in from any device once your account has been verified.

Even when a new account is created, the Google Play Store does not always switch to the US version.

To work around this, connect to a VPN on a PC, sign into the Google Play Store US website, search for the app you require, and download it to your phone (while still connected to the VPN). Here's an example of how to use Peacock:

There have been reports of users being unable to install HBO Max on iOS because the app store requires users to register their payment details and, if you try to register with this account, it does not accept UK PayPal.

To get around this, we recommend purchasing US App Store credit with a digital gift card, which can then be added as a payment option in the US.

This is available from retailers such as Amazon US, though there are other options. You'll need a website that accepts payments made with UK bank account information. The typical minimum purchase amount is $25, which is enough to cover one month's subscription to HBO Max.

When the site asks for the recipient, enter your own email address, and the redemption code will be sent to your inbox. Then, when adding payment information in the app store, choose'redeem gift card or code,' and you should be able to add the money as credit to your account.

You should then be able to sign up for an HBO Max account and start watching Peacemaker. Once your account is activated, you can change your payment information back to your UK PayPal account via the website to avoid purchasing a new gift card every time.
