Easy Step-by-Step Guide: Fitting Roller Blinds like a Pro

To install roller blinds, first decide where you want to place them. You can place them inside or outside the window frame, or above the window. Ensure that you determine the placement before purchasing the blinds. Hold up the blinds to the window and mark where you want to secure the brackets with a pencil. Measure the space horizontally from one point to another with a tape measure to determine the size of blinds you need. Purchase the blinds that best fit the space, and if the size is not exact, opt for larger blinds that can be cut to size.

When installing the blinds, decide on which side you want the chain to hang down. Most roller blinds allow you to switch the side of the chain. Also, consider rolling the blind under or over the roller based on any protruding objects from the window. Once you've decided on this, use a hand drill to securely install the brackets that came with the blinds. Follow the instruction manual for each blind, as they may differ slightly.

Finally, if the blind is too large for the window, cut it to fit the space.
