Comprehensive Guide to Night Nursing

Published: December 1st, 2018 in: Cough, Cold and Flu Health Advice

Night Nurse presents an effective solution for relieving your symptoms of cold and flu, allowing you to achieve a restful night's sleep. If you find yourself plagued with a runny nose, a bothersome cough, a sore throat, body aches, fever, and chills, then it's likely that you are being kept awake at night, suffering. Without a proper night's sleep, your body's ability to heal itself and combat the cold and flu efficiently is compromised. Therefore, it is crucial to find a way to alleviate these symptoms in order to achieve a good night's sleep and allow your body to recover.

What Causes the Sleepiness Caused by Night Nurse?

Night Nurse contains an antihistamine named Promethazine, which aids in promoting sleep while also decongesting and drying up runny noses for easier breathing. Additionally, Night Nurse includes Dextromethorphan, which will alleviate your dry or tickly cough, as well as Paracetamol to alleviate aches, pains, chills, and reduce temperature.

Taking Night Nurse

When consuming Night Nurse liquid, fill the measuring cup up to the 20ml marking. Take a 20ml dosage (equivalent to 4 teaspoons) at bedtime. If you choose to use the Night Nurse Capsules, take 2 capsules just before going to bed with a glass of water. It is important to avoid taking these products if you have already consumed 4 doses of paracetamol-containing products throughout the day. Moreover, do not exceed a duration of 3 days when taking this medication.

This medication is intended for oral use only and is not suitable for children under the age of 16 years. If you accidentally take an excessive amount of this medicine/capsules, even if you feel fine, it is crucial to seek immediate medical attention.

When Should I Refrain From Taking Night Nurse?

Do not use Night Nurse if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Refrain from driving or operating machinery while under the influence of Night Nurse, as it may induce drowsiness, dizziness, or difficulty concentrating. Avoid consuming Night Nurse if you have previously experienced an allergic reaction to paracetamol, promethazine hydrochloride, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, or any other ingredients present in this medication. You should exercise caution when taking Night Nurse alongside other prescribed medications. Consult the product leaflet for more details on what to be mindful of, or seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist. Lastly, it is important to avoid consumption of alcohol while using Night Nurse.

If your symptoms fail to improve, worsen, or are accompanied by a high temperature, skin rash, or persistent headache, it is imperative to consult your doctor as soon as possible.
