What happened in the final season 8 trailer of Game of Thrones, and are there any spoilers about who died?
Last week, the first episode of Game of Thrones' final season was screened at an extravagant premiere in New York.
Spoilers promise disturbing violence and plenty of one-liners to keep us guessing.
Fans did, however, get to see the first proper footage of the six-part final season trailer.
As is customary, the producers haven't given too much away about Series 8's plot in the trailer, instead offering a glimpse of what's to come.
Sansa Stark appears to betray Jon and Daenerys while glaring at them as they both walk towards their dragons in the recently released trailer.
Jon Snow and Queen Daenerys are then seen riding together with their armies as her two remaining dragons circle them.
We learn that Lady Sansa Stark may betray the dragons and her cousin Jon in order to seize the throne.
The trailer begins with assassin Arya Stark fleeing in the Winterfell catacombs from an unknown assailant - the trailer's only hint at possible deaths.
She runs battered and bloodied as the trailer cuts to another scene in which she holds her sword and says, "I know death." I'm looking forward to seeing this one of his many faces. "
The video also appears to show Bran, who was rendered unable to walk in the first episode, apparently walking around Winterfell as he surveys the troops.
"Everything you did got you where you are now," he says. Where you should be Home "
Gendry appears briefly as he creates more weapons capable of killing White Walkers for the armies.
The White Walker then viciously cuts through the North men, preparing the audience for a massive battle. Jon runs alongside someone who appears to be Arya as she confronts the White Walkers with her dragonglass blade.
Meanwhile, after fleeing his sister Cersei's cruel plan to destroy the country so she can keep her throne, Jaimie Lannister arrives in The North and vows to fight for the living.
"I promise to fight for the living, and I intend to keep that promise," he says. "
Cersei drinks wine in the great hall of King's Landing after winter arrives, possibly confirming she is no longer pregnant.
As the Night King's armies arrive in Winterfell, the trailer concludes with frozen cloven feet stomping on the ground.

When will Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere, and will it be available on Netflix?
Season 8 of Game of Thrones premiered on Sky Atlantic on Monday, April 15 at 9 p.m.
It aired on HBO in the United States the night before, on Sunday, April 14th.
If you can't wait until Monday evening to watch the episodes, Sky Atlantic will broadcast them at 2 a.m. on Monday, the same time it will air in the United States.
The episodes will also be available on NOW TV in the United Kingdom.
We know that the final season will be the shortest in Game of Thrones history, with only six episodes, following season seven's seven.
Each episode appears to be feature length, but it could be anywhere between 60-120 minutes in length.
Despite the fact that the show is coming to an end, its creator, George R. R Martin stated that he would have liked to see the show continue for several more years.
"We could have gone 11, 12, 13 seasons," he explained to Variety. "For like five seasons, David and Dan have been saying that seven seasons is all they would go." We convinced them to go to eight, but not any higher.
"There was a time about five years ago when they said seven seasons and I said ten seasons, and they won; they're the ones who are actually working on it." ”

What happened in Game of Thrones Season 7 and how did the show conclude?
There were many twists and turns over the course of eight years and 67 episodes, so where did we leave Westeros at the end of Series 7?
For a quick recap, here are the most important moments from the previous series...
- The Night King slayed Daenerys' dragon Viserion, transforming it into a zombie ice dragon that he used to breach the wall.
- After the north's final defense failed, the White Walkers are marching south.
- Jon Snow captured a White Walker and showed it to Cersei Lannister, but she refuses to aid the North in their fight against the army of the dead.
Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow hooked up for steamy sex on a boat in the season 7 finale, unaware of Jon's lineage. Jon Snow is RELATED to Daenerys through his legitimate Targaryen birthright, according to Samwell Tarly and Bran Stark - his true name is Aegon Targaryen.

Who will appear in Game of Thrones Season 8?
While the series' final cast has not been announced, all of the characters who survived Season 7 will reprise their roles for the finale.
Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) have all returned, as has Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), Peter Dink However, we have no idea how long they will live in the final season.
The show has had a slew of cameos and guest stars, so don't be surprised if another high-profile star replicates Ed Sheeran's brief (and not entirely popular) season seven appearances.
Another recurring guest star who should play an important role is Mark Gatiss, whose character Tycho Nestoris has grown in importance as the show nears its end.
Theon Greyjoy, played by Alfie Allen, is still alive and well, and his vile uncle Euron will be played by Pilou Asbk once more.
However, after Petyr Baelish's dramatic death in the season seven finale, Aidan Gillen's time on the show appears to be over.
