Access ITV Hub on your smart TV, computer, console (PlayStation 4, Xbox One), or mobile device to stream live TV.

You can watch live ITV on the ITV Hub — or ITVX, as it's now known — which allows you to watch TV as it happens on your phone, computer, smart TV, or other internet-connected device.

The ITV Hub is primarily ITV's streaming service for its own content, though ITVX Premium subscribers also have access to the entire Britbox library. However, all tiers, including the free one, allow you to watch live TV as it happens.

That means you can follow along with I'm a Celebrity, watch some of the best ITV dramas, or leave CITV on for your kids, all thanks to the power of the internet.

To watch live TV on the ITV Hub, all you need is a compatible device and an internet connection; many devices, including computers, game consoles, and smartphones, will work, and we've included small guides below to help you depending on how you'll watch.

Read on to find out how to watch live TV on the ITV Hub or ITVX, and after that, we've answered a few questions you might have

If you're using a computer or laptop, the first step is to go to the ITV website, which you can access by clicking here. (Opens in a new window)

Look in the top-left corner of the screen, where it says 'Watch Live,' from the main landing page. Please click on this.

You'll be taken to the live TV page; along the top, you'll see the different channels; choose one to watch. Then, on the screen preview, press the big green play arrow to start streaming. Simple and convenient

How to Watch ITV Hub Live TV on a Smart TV

Some smart TVs can download the ITV Hub and use it to watch live TV on a smart TV (this is obviously only useful if your smart TV is unable to watch broadcast channels for whatever reason). Because there are numerous smart TVs on the market, our instructions will be broad.

To begin, download the ITV Hub using whatever method you normally use to download streaming apps: perhaps your TV has an app gallery, or perhaps new apps can be downloaded from the home page.

When you open the app, you'll see the channel's main preview, with a menu down the left side of the screen. You'll be on the top one by default, which is marked with a little home icon — you'll want the one below that, which is a play button housed in a TV icon. Scroll down to find this option.

The following screen may appear to be a little confusing (at least when compared to the equivalent menus you'd see if you used any other strategy in this article). The rows on this page are for various channels, while the columns are for the schedule and upcoming shows.

Scroll up or down to find the channel you want to watch and press the play button — the extra listings are just to let you know what's coming up in the future.

How to Watch ITV Hub Live TV on Your Smartphone

If you want to watch live ITV channels on your smartphone, you must first install the ITV Hub app. If you have an iPhone, you can access the App Store listing here. (Opens in a new tab) , and if you use Android, the Play Store listing can be found here. (Opens in a new window)

It is simple to use the app to find live TV once it has been downloaded. Simply launch it and select Live TV at the bottom of the screen.

The menu that appears will list all of the channels along the top, allowing you to choose which channel you want and then simply select Watch Live to watch it live. So, tune in live.

How to watch live TV on ITV Hub on a PS4 or PS5

Unfortunately, there is no ITV Hub app available for PlayStations. However, there is a workaround that some people may prefer to employ.

You see, there is an ITV Prime Video channel that includes a large portion of the ITV Hub's streaming catalog as well as live TV, and you can find it here. (Opens in a new window)

The catch You'll need an Amazon Prime account in addition to this ITV Catch-Up channel, which costs £3. 99 per month following a 7-day free trial Because a Prime membership already costs £8, You will pay £12 per month if you pay £99 per month. 98 per month for a service that is available for free on other platforms

So, if possible, avoid using a PS4 or PS5 to stream live TV on the ITV Hub, and even purchasing a smart TV dongle like an Amazon Fire stick would quickly prove to be better value for money (these inexpensive devices turn your standard TV into a smart TV). which, in this case, entitles you to free access to the ITV Hub)

Could the ITV Hub ever make its way to Sony's gaming consoles? It appears that ITV is working on it, but this has been the case for some time, and there has been no recent news of any changes in that department.

How to Watch Live TV on ITV Hub on Xbox One Series X/S

You can watch live ITV on your Xbox as long as it is current-gen or previous-gen (that is, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One). Unfortunately, older Xboxes are no longer officially supported.

First, you'll need to download the ITV Hub app from the Microsoft Store. Then open it.

Next, look for the live TV open icon, which looks like a cartoon TV with a play arrow inside. Select this to see a list of all the channels available to you; find the one you want and click it to begin streaming.

FAQs about ITV Hub live TV

Yes, you must be signed in to your ITV account on your device in order to use any of these methods.

Simply click on this link to sign in or create an account. It's quick, simple, and, most importantly, free.

Regrettably, no.

According to ITV, for legal reasons, the channel does not always have the rights to broadcast its shows both online and on live television.

In this case, the ITV Hub will inform you that the show cannot be streamed live online. Sorry

If you are going to be away from home but still want to watch ITV online, you may encounter some difficulties. Fortunately, you can solve this problem with a Virtual Private Network (a VPN).

However, it's worth noting that the ITV Hub is one of the most stringent streaming services when it comes to VPNs, so using one to stream live TV could be a risky endeavor. If you really want to watch an ITV show outside of the UK, we recommend checking to see if any local networks are showing it.
